New in 2002, we constructed a donation box where donations for local
charities could be accepted. This attracted more than $62,000.00 throughout
8 seasons! The distribution of these donations is shown below.
Note that donations have gone down the past few seasons, mainly due
to poor weather conditions and very expensive paid-duty police officers
that we hired for traffic control. The town and police department would
not financially assist with this expense. For 2 seasons, the only way
to keep this show running was to hire these officers and they are the
ONLY expense paid out from collected donations...we had no choice!
For those who enjoy the show from across the
world and feel they'd like to donate for charity, we now accept
donations online. Thank you!
